Bird Catcher

Once upon a time there was a person who earned his livelihood by catching birds and then selling them in the local market. He was doing the same job in the same forest for a long time and all the bird knew him by his face by this time, so they use to fly as soon as this person would enter the forest.

Depressed by this and losing his livelihood he was going through the forest thinking how he would solve his problem. That time he felt thirsty so he directed himself towards nearby pond. When he reached there he saw an amazing thing. He saw that a saint in an orange robe was half immersed in water and singing some wonderful song. He saw a lot of birds were sitting on his head, his arms and also flying around him. This man was looking at this with a great surprise when he struck a great idea. He left the place immediately and ran to the nearby market place to buy an orange robe.

Next day he dressed himself in the orange robe and tried to look like the saint he saw the other day. He eagerly went to the same pond and immersed himself half and started singing the same way as the saint was singing.

To his surprise he saw birds started coming to him the same way and sitting on his head, his arms, and flying all around him. He was now waiting for a good opportunity to catch them when a thought struck his mind.

He thought that despite being a bird catcher just by changing the costume these birds developed a faith on him, what will happen if he really becomes a saint.

This thought changed the life of this man and he became a saint since that day. He started feeding the birds and taking care of their needs. Now the birds were not at all afraid of him anymore
